Every wedding site has a cost calculator. Almost all of them exist to move you towards a supplier, and the figures are shaped accordingly. We do not sell venues, we do not take a cut of your photographer, and we would rather be useful than persuasive.

Where the figures come from

The calculators work from what you type. Nothing is assumed on your behalf, which is why the results are only as good as the numbers you put in, and why they never go stale.

The snapshot on the homepage mixes three kinds of figure, and each one says which it is. Some are worked out from today's date, like the next bank holiday or sunset this month, so they need no maintenance and cannot be wrong. Some come from the Office for National Statistics and are credited. Some are fetched daily, like metal prices, and are marked as such.

What you will not find here is another site's survey data presented as ours.
